Submissions for 2010 close Thursday the 30th of September. 
 
As filmmakers ourselves, we know how much it costs to make short films, and we want every Melbourne filmmaker to have a chance to showcase their work.  As such, Entry is FREE.
 
Further, Nexus Production Group also run a monthly film night called Short Cut.  So even if your film is not selected for Made In Melbourne there is a good chance it will be screened at Short Cut in 2011. 
 
Made In Melbourne also has a competition component - Best Film - to be judged by the audience.  The top three films will be awarded trophies and win fantastic prizes (see program page).
 
To enter your film simply fill out the entry form and post it along with your DVD to:

Terms and Conditions
 
  1. Filmmakers must be residents of Melbourne or Victoria.  Alternatively, the majority of the film must have been shot and completed in Melbourne or Victoria.
  2. The film must be under 20 minutes. 
  3. All genres are eligible for entry.
  4. Films do not have to be recent.  They just have to be 'Melbourne'.  However, if you previously entered the Made In Melbourne Film Festival, please do not send us the same film again!
  5. Filmmakers grant the Made in Melbourne Film Festival the right to exhibit the film in the Made in Melbourne Film Festival and use its images for promotional purposes.
  6. It is the responsibility of the filmmaker to ensure that they have obtained all necessary permissions to enter their film into the Made In Melbourne Film Festival and that the film does not infringe the rights, including copyright, of any third party.
  7. Entries must be postmarked no later than Thursday 30th of September, 2010.  DVDs are preferred.  The Festival will email you to confirm your entry has been received.
  8. If submitting more than one film, separate Entry Forms are required. 
  9. By sending your short film it is automatically understood that you have read and accepted these entry conditions.
